Candice Burningham
FOUNDER
After coming back to Australia from the UK in August of 2021, Candice started searching for jobs. She was shocked to find that there was no one website or community just for admin roles. She searched and searched and searched – nope! Just a few specialist admin recruitment agencies. Her surprise and frustration resulted in an idea. She founded Admin Avenues to solve two main problems: finding great admin roles and helping employers find great admin candidates.
As a career executive assistant for over a decade, she has delivered the executive and operational support for presidents, CEOs, and founders of some of the top media, entertainment, design and financial companies. She knows and understands the admin community and its key companies, industries, and trends in the Australian market.
“Whilst I love a good specialist recruitment agency and I’ve stayed friends with some of the recruiters I worked with throughout my career in Australia, I wanted more than what one agency could offer me. I wanted all the agencies to have ALL the admin jobs in one place. So, I built what I was looking for.”
Admin Avenues is a website strictly for admin professionals because we deserve our own place and our own community. With businesses becoming more and more technological and complex, it’s hard to name a business that doesn’t have an admin professional in it. Administrative staff are vital to business and therefore, Candice knew the industry needed a niche specialist website that solely focuses on jobs in admin.
By having a niche employment marketplace website just for the admin community, it narrows down candidates who are serious about wanting a career in this industry. And it also saves time for companies and recruitment agencies who are hiring for these niche roles by narrowing the pool of candidates to only the admin community (no more random CVs from unqualified applicants).
